Fifteen years ago, Jon embarked on his career path in construction by framing and building houses for a local builder. Due to his passion for construction, he pursued further education to enhance his skills, and obtained an Architectural Engineering Technologist diploma from Conestoga College.
Upon graduation, Jon began working as a Project Manager for an ICI Contractor, which provided him with a platform to develop his project management skills. He worked in close collaboration with subcontractors, engineers, architects, and building owners to complete projects.
Currently, Jon works as a Municipal Building Official, where he stays up-to-date with the latest building code regulations. He is also able to work with builders to identify building trends and construction methods. Jon's expertise in these areas enables him, through Homeridge Design, to provide his clients with exceptional service.

Right after completing high school, Thomas obtained his diploma in Architectural Construction Engineering Technology from Conestoga College. He then spent a few years in estimating and drafting before eventually becoming a Municipal Building Official. Throughout his many years as a building official, Thomas gained experience in residential plan examination as well as building inspection.
His role as a Building Official has significantly benefitted Thomas as a designer, as it requires him to stay updated with new building code regulations, materials and innovative building styles. As someone who is always willing to help applicants and clients, Thomas often provides creative solutions to achieve code compliance without incurring unnecessary expenses.
